Client Gifting: Timing is Everything

Gifting isn’t just a holiday activity.  Purposeful client gifting is a reason to reach out to your customer base without asking anything of them. It’s an easy way to reconnect with clients you haven’t been in regular contact with, without coming across as aggressively salesy.

 

It makes perfect sense that the majority of corporate gifts go out between November and January.  The holidays are a great time to reach out to clients in a personal way to show your gratitude for their support, but there are other times to stand out as well. 

 

Think about these:

 

 

 

  • It’s great to cap a successful deal closing with a gift that shows your appreciation for a client's business
  • When a client is visiting town, a carefully selected gift delivered and waiting at the hotel will leave a lasting impression.
  • Recruiting new employees or partners? Let them see how you’ll value them on your team.
  • Welcome workshop or convention participants, celebrate milestones or the launch of a new product, or just say thanks.
